Verdict Imminent in Berlusconi Sex-for-Hire Trial

Former Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi faced a verdict Monday in his sex-for-hire trial, with prosecutors seeking to end his two-decade political career by sending him to prison and banning him from public office for life.

Berlusconi, 76, is charged with paying an underage Moroccan teen for sex and then trying to cover it up with phone calls to Milan police officials when she was picked up for alleged theft. Berlusconi and the woman deny having had sex with each other.
