US Classifies Nigerian Militant Groups as Terrorist Organizations

The United States has designated Nigerian militant groups Boko Haram and Ansaru as foreign terrorists organisations.

Al Qaeda-linked Boko Haram and its splinter group Ansaru are blamed for thousands of deaths in northeast and central Nigeria.
