Unemployment Up For Third Consecutive Month In Germany; Rate at 6.9 Percent

Unemployment in Germany increased for a third consecutive month in October to reach its highest level in over two years, a report from the Federal Labor Agency revealed Wednesday, fueling concerns that the Eurozone's largesteconomy may be losing momentum.

In seasonally-adjusted terms, the number of unemployed persons increased by 2,000 month-on-month in October to 2.973 million, the highest total since June 2011.
