The Neocons Are Back: Liz Cheney Officially Declares She's Running for Senate

Writer's picture: OurStudioOurStudio

Below you can watch Liz Cheney declare that she is running for Senate.

In her announcement video, Cheney faults Pres. Obama for attacking the First and Second Amendments (but not the Fourth); for enabling the EPA and the IRS (but not the NSA); for failing to stand up to North Korea and Iran and stop their nuclear programs; for attempting to "nationalize one-sixth of the U.S. economy with Obamacare"; and for not being transparent about Benghazi. She doesn't once mention incumbent Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wy.), with whom her family has long been friendly and against whom she is running, though she does mention the need for a "new generation" and that taxes are high enough already (Enzi introduced the Marketplace Fairness Act).

This is the Senate race to watch in 2014, if only because it's actually about Rand Paul.
