Texas Special Session Could Last Up to 30 Days

All eyes will be on Austin on Monday as the Texas legislature reconvenes to take up a high-profile abortion measure, but a final outcome for the bill might not be determined for another month.

"The longest [the session] can go is 30 days, but if the Legislature finishes their work in less than 30 days then it is over," Gov. Rick Perry's spokeswoman Lucy Nashed told POLITICO regarding the time frame of the next session.
