Syrian Mortars Hit the Golan Heights

A number of mortar shells fired from over the Syrian border landed in theGolan Heights in the Mount Hermon area on Wednesday morning, anIsraeli Defense Forces spokesperson confirmed.

The number of rounds fired could not yet be determined due to poor weather conditions. There was no report of damage.

In similar incidents in the past the IDF said it was most likely to be errant shells fired by one of the sides battling in Syria.
