Study Shows Pay Gap for Women Just Out of College

More women than men are now graduating from college, but one year later they are earning just 82 percent of what their male colleagues are paid, a new study finds.

The study, released Wednesday by the American Association of University Women, finds the pay gap has barely budged over the past decade, even as more women enter the workforce across all sectors.

"The pay gap is real. It's persistent and it starts right out of the gate," Christianne Corbett, a co-author of the study, told the Daily News.
