Settlement with Newark Police Over Illegal Camera Arrest Includes New Camera Polices

n the wake of a 2010 incident where a young girl was illegally detained and placed in handcuffs by police officers because she was filming them in a public place, the Newark Police Departmenthas issued new policiesaimed at protecting citizen's rights to record police activity, according to details of a settlement made public today.
