Senate to Vote on Government Shutdown Bill in Late Afternoon, Early Evening

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell announced on the Senate floor that they have an agreement to reopen the government and lift the debt ceiling.

The Senate is expected to vote on the deal late Wednesday afternoon or early evening, a Democratic leadership aide said. The bill would then go to the House.
