OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ U.S. Senator Tom Coburn is teaming up with a New Hampshire Democrat for a bill to rein in spending on oil paintings for government officials.

Coburn said in a press release Thursday that he and U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen introduced a bill to cap spending on portraits and limit the practice to those in the line to succeed the president. That would include the vice president, speaker of the House, president pro tempore of the Senate and various U.S. secretaries.
