Sen. Boxer Backs $10 Minimum Wage

Sen. Barbara Boxer thinks minimum wage should be raised to be about $10 an hour to help close the ever-growing gap between the working poor and the rich and to promote a healthy nation.

"We need to raise the minimum wage. That will make a huge difference. … People are struggling," the California Democrat told Ed Schultz on "The Ed Show" on Monday. "The difference between the very wealthy and the working poor has grown. We raise that minimum wage and we move forward with the vision of this president that we have, which is everyone pays their fair share" of taxes.
