Russia Dips into Reserve Funds

President Vladimir Putin has called for Russia to use reserves from its rainy day fund to fund long-term infrastructure investments amid fears of a recession.
At a meeting of government ministers in Sochi, Mr Putin admitted on Monday that the latest economic data showed "alarming symptoms" on the back of capital outflows and a fall in demand from foreign investors.
