Cheap genetic testing is enabling people to entertain themselves by better tracing their ethnic heritages, and more practially, helping parents to avoid passing on debilating genetic diseases to their children. Somewhat to the puzzlement of many new consumer genetics companies, their customers seem to be far less concerned about genetic privacy than they are.
