Protesters Clash With Police Over Failed Anti-Blasphemy Law in Bangladesh

At least one person has been killed in clashes between police and Islamist protesters in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka.

Police used tear gas and rubber bullets against thousands of activists from the group Hefazat-e-Islam, who are demanding tighter censorship, greater segregation of men and women, and the death penalty for those deemed to have insulted Islam.
