Pope Francis Gives Away Harley Davidson

Writer: OurStudioOurStudio

Pope Francis has decided to give away his Harley Davidson worth £12,500 to a charity to raise funds.

The 1,585 cc Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide was presented to him in June 2013 to mark the motorcycle brand's 110th anniversary.

Signed "Francesco" on its tank, it will be auctioned at the Grand Palais in Paris on February 6 as part of Bonham's Les Grandes Marques du Monde sale.

It is not clear if the Pontiff actually rode it, although his preference for modest modes of transport—he used to take public transport as a cardinal in Buenos Aires—is well publicised.
