Pennsylvania Police Chief Charged With DUI

A Perry County police chief—who spent a brief time as the chief of police in Harrisburg—was charged Thursday with driving under the influence following a June incident.

Richard L. Pickles, 59, of Harrisburg, was charged Thursday by Susquehanna Police in Dauphin County. Pickles had a blood alcohol content of 0.082 percent, according to police papers filed this week. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08 percent.

Pickles was pulled over by Susquehanna Township police after he failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. He is currently the chief of police in Penn Township.
