New Jersey Woman Arrested for Mailing Threats to Supreme Court, Local Governments

The letters were threatening and angry.

They went all the way to the nation's top court.

And the writer did not try to disguise who she was. Karen Waller signed her name to them.

Tuesday, the Irvington woman was arrested at her home by members of the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, charged with mailing threats to more than 50 recipients, including the U.S. Supreme Court, Rutgers University, and various New Jersey municipalities — in one case warning an insurance company it would be "Blown TO ANOTHER PLANET" and "YOU WILL ALL FACE DEATH IN A VERY HARSH WAY."
