NATO Chief Rules Out Intervention in Syria

NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said the alliance will not intervene in the conflict in Syria despite the threat the violence poses to security on NATO's southeastern border.

Rasmussen said NATO cannot ignore the risks of a regional spillover, however, with possible implications for allied security.
