NASA To Launch Moon-Bound Spacecraft Tonight

Weather permitting, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) intends to launch LADEE, short for Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer, from Virginia this evening. This is the first ever launch from Virginia.

The robotically-manned spacecraft will orbit the Moon and study its atmosphere. The mission cost $280 million.
