Missing Pussy Riot Member Reportedly in Hospital

Writer: OurStudioOurStudio

For those who have been following the saga of Pussy Riot—the Russian punk girl group whose members got into hot water for publicly disrespecting Vladimir Putin—here's the latest twist.

Rolling Stone reports that band member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, who had been missing for 24 days after staging a hunger strike to protest conditions at the prison where she was incarcerated, has, according to her husband, turned up in the Siberian region of Krasnoyarsk—at a tuberculosis hospital.

According to the report, Peter Verzilov said that doctors had called him from Krasnoyarsk's Tuberculosis Hospital No. 1, which serves as a general hospital in addition to treating TB, to confirm that his wife was in good condition. "She's not sick right now," Verzilov said. "She's just having procedures and tests related to the hunger strike.
