Masked Gunmen Kill Five Egyptian Police Officers at Checkpoint South of Cairo

Masked gunmen have attacked a checkpoint south of Cairo, killing five Egyptian policemen and wounding two others.

The attack happened early Thursday in Beni Suef province, about 100 kilometers from the capital.
