Man Escapes Court in India After Being Convicted of Drug Smuggling

Minutes after a local court held him guilty in a drug smuggling case, Kala Singh, a Ludhiana resident, escaped from the court to avoid arrest. The accused was out on bail.

The UT police have registered a case against Kala. As per the police, the accused, along with a woman co-accused, Chindi of Sangrur, on Friday appeared before the court of additional district and sessions judge RK Yadav.
