Israeli University Adds Christian and Muslim Holidays to Calendar

The Haifa University senate decided this week on three new days off for the entire student body, on the dates of the most important Christian, Muslim and Druze holidays – Christmas, Eid al Fitr, which comes at the end of the Ramadan fast, and Eid al Adha, or the Feast of the Sacrifice. This is the first time a university in Israel has taken such a step.
