The inspector general who detailed the IRS's targeting of Tea Party groups said Thursday that his office was not provided documents that outlined the scrutiny given to liberal groups.
J. Russell George, Treasury's inspector general for tax administration, said that minutes from a July 2010 IRS workshop weren't provided to his office as it worked on its May report, even as it received documents that discussed Tea Party applications for tax-exempt status. George said his office only received the documents last week.
