FRENCH police have begun a hunt to identify the photographer who took topless pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge and the agency that sold them.
Prosecutors have opened a criminal inquiry into the Duchess's claim that the photographs of her had breached French privacy laws.
The Duke and his wife also won a symbolic victory in their civil case when a French court banned Closer magazine from selling or re-using them. However, the judgment may not prevent further publication of the photographs because the magazine does not own them.
