The principal of California's Bear Creek High School seized 1,700 copies of the school paper after it ran an article questioning school safety. The article quoted school officials decrying a lack of communication during recent reports of weapons on campus and cited an assistant principal's concerns that all the staff may not be familiar with the school safety plan. Principal Shirley McNichols said the story could provoke panic.
