Republican Bob Smith wants to run again for his old seat in the U.S. Senate and challenge Democratic incumbent Jeanne Shaheen.

Smith, who lost his Senate seat in a 2002 GOP primary to John Sununu, said he's changed his mind and will try to challenge Shaheen. That means he has to move back to New Hampshire, where he spends his summers, after decamping to Florida after his loss to Sununu.

"This is nothing personally against Jeanne Shaheen, who I like as a person, but I couldn't disagree more with her politics," Smith, 72, told WMUR on Sunday.
