EU Holds High-Level Meeting on Egypt

On Wednesday, the European Union will hold a high level meeting in Brussels to discuss the ongoing political crisis in Egypt. Officials are reportedly seeking to send a message to end the conflict between clashing parties.

Hundreds of supporters of deposed President Mohamed Morsy have been killed and at least 100 security officers died over the past week when security forces dispersed sit-ins in Cairo demanding the reinstatement of the toppled president.
