If you were one of the millions of people freaking out with joy over the new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story movie trailer this week, get ready for a power stronger than The Force will ever be: Star Wars merchandising.
As Disney plans to release Star Wars films every two weeks now (perhaps an overstatement), toys, clothes, video games and more will find their way to store shelves and online shops everywhere. It's all a part of the Star Wars economy or the estimated $42 billion dollar industry that has amassed itself ever since Star Wars: A New Hope came out in the 1970s.
