PARIS, June 27 (UPI) — Officials said the Eiffel Tower, the most visited tourist site in Paris, reopened Thursday after a two-day workers strike.

The union that represents most of the 300 employees who work at the tower, CGT, lifted the strike Wednesday night, Radio France Internationale said.

Workers were taking issue with delays to repairing one of the elevators that takes visitors to the towers' first floor.
