The U.S. Geological Survey says several earthquakes have shaken central Oklahoma.

USGS geophysicist Jana Pursley says the temblors began around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday and all were centred northeast of Oklahoma City. She said three earthquakes have been confirmed and that she was working on a confirming a possible fourth. She says the strongest was a magnitude 4.3 quake centred near the town of Luther.
