Death Toll of Texas Fertilizer Plant Explosions Rises

WEST, Tex. — After spending the night sifting through the debris left by the devastating explosion at a fertilizer plant here, the authorities on Friday morning raised the number of dead to 12, most of them firefighters and other emergency responders who were the first to arrive at the scene.
