Cleveland Officers Face Discipline over Deadly Chase

Cleveland's police chief says a dozen department supervisors are facing internal discipline charges stemming from a chase that ended with 13 officers killing two unarmed people by firing 137 shots.

Chief Michael McGrath announced Tuesday that a police captain, a lieutenant and 10 sergeants are being disciplined.

He says all 12 showed a lack of leadership during the 19-mile chase in November that went through downtown Cleveland and other neighborhoods before ending in gunfire that killed a driver and his passenger. Both had cocaine in their systems but neither was armed.
