With an aging population expected to slash economic growth in the coming decades, China approved several key reforms, including a loosening of the restrictive "hukou" household registration system as well as the "one-child" policy, according to documents leaked Friday.
The Communist leadership's policy package stems from a major meeting concluded on Tuesday. President Xi Jinping had raised expectations for the four-day Third Plenum with talk of "deepening" reforms for the world's No. 2 economy.
