Centralized Drone-Control System is Being Tested By the US Navy

A centralised control computer for robots on land, air or sea' sounds suspiciously like the Terminator-wiki description of Skynet. But actually, it's just the SparkNotes version of the US Navy's latest test project, the Common Control System, which is going to kill us all.

Termed the "Common Control System", the master computer of doom is accessible from desktop or tablet applications, and can basically control any platform running the Navy's Universal Character Set software, a scary-arse bit of code that can "run on any type of platform or hardware, and can overlay existing systems running on propriety software to make them work with any others". In other words, even non-compliant machinery can be zombified into Skynet submission.
