Britain in Talks to Join French Intervention in Central African Republic

Britain is in talks to join a growing international military coalition to intervene in the Central African Republic, after the United Nations unanimously authorised increased force to stop a religious war spiralling into genocide.

French defence sources said Britain had offered to send military transport aircraft, which would most likely be used to ferry French and equipment to the country.
