A Cleveland, Ohio, 911 dispatcher was suspended for six days after being caught falling asleep during emergency calls. The dispatcher, Jasmin Thomas, had previously been warned about sleeping on the job. "Not excuses, but the reality is that she's a single mom," Steve Loomis, president of Cleveland's police union, told WJW-TV in Thomas' defense. "She's going to college full time, and she's working 40, 50, sometimes 60 hours a week up there."
