A St. Louis, Missouri, police officer has been charged with involuntary manslaughter after shooting and killing another officer. Nathaniel Hendren and another officer, who has not been named, were on duty when they went to Hendren's home, where they were joined by officer Katlyn Alix, who was off duty. Hendren shot Alix, who died later at a hospital. The police department initially described the shooting as accidental. Prosecutors now say Alix and Hendren were playing a Russian roulette-type game where they pointed the gun at each other and pulled the trigger.
