A French employment commission has fined a baker €3,000 (about $3,700) for working too hard. Under a local law, bakeries in Lusigny-sur-Barse are supposed to close at least one day a week. This baker had previously been able to get an exemption during the summer tourist season, but when the city refused to renew the exemption, he continued to work.
