City officials in Wellington, New Zealand, have apologized after producers of a city-funded arts festival changed lyrics to a song from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to remove a reference to Israel. After lyricist Tim Rice found out about the change, he blasted the decision, prompting the festival to drop all songs from the musical. But that decision caused yet another backlash, and organizers agreed to keep the songs and their original lyrics.
