The Missouri Court of Appeals has upheld a $5 million judgment against Harris-Stowe State University. Beverly Wilkins, a white professor at the predominately black school, had sued, saying she was fired because of her race. "Rarely have we seen such manifest and open evidence of racial discrimination," said the appeals court judges in their ruling.
