Boeing plans to fly its 787 Dreamliner on a certification flight this afternoon for Federal Aviation Administration approval to get passengers back in the air.
The plane has been grounded worldwide since Jan. 16, after problems with lithium-ion aboard two planes. But Boeing redesigned the batteries and has been testing them for weeks.
The flight is scheduled about 2 p.m. ET Friday for two hours. The test plane is one built for LOT Polish Airlines.
