Antigovernment Protests Clog Streets of Bulgaria's Capital

Protests were sparked by the appointment of Delyan Peevski from the [pro-Turkish] party Movement for Rights and Freedoms as State Security chief. Even though shortly after the decision deputies voted to repeal the decision, protests continued throughout the country.
