Afghanistan: Ready to Have Taliban Negotiations Without Pakistan

Pakistan has long been seen as crucial to a stable and sustainable peace because of Islamabad's long standing links with militant groups, as well as its ability to sabotage any deal that did not favour its proxies.

The outburst will also embarrass David Cameron, who invited leaders from both countries to Chequers last month before he announced that the two presidents had agreed "an unprecedented level of cooperation".
