A-Rod May Sue if Suspension Not Lifted

Alex Rodriguez plans to sue Major League Baseball in federal court next month if his suspension related to the league's latest performance-enhancing drugs scandal isn't lifted, according to TMZ.com.

The Yankees third baseman is currently appealing a 211-game suspension for his alleged ties to Biogenesis, the closed Florida anti-aging clinic accused of distributing PEDs. Twelve other players will serve 50-game bans. Milwaukee Brewers star Ryan Braun previously accepted a 65-game suspension.

TMZ's sources called the investigation of A-Rod "abusive and borderline illegal" and said the league has "no proof" that he allegedly obstructed the Biogenesis probe.
